INV3NTORY + Reposs

Reposs is a popular Windows-based EPOS system used across UK convenience stores and off licences. Like ShopMate, it runs locally rather than in the cloud — so INV3NTORY connects to it via a lightweight background agent that reads the CSV export Reposs produces and syncs it automatically.

The result is a catalogue that stays up to date without any manual effort, plus the full layer of stock intelligence that Reposs's own module doesn't provide: deliveries booked in, waste tracked, margins calculated, and a daily briefing telling you exactly what needs doing.

How the connection works

  1. Set up Reposs's product export — Configure Reposs to export its product list to a folder on the till PC. Our onboarding guide shows the exact steps.
  2. Run the sync agent — Download your personalised config and the sync agent .exe from your INV3NTORY onboarding page. One double-click installs it — it runs automatically from then on.
  3. Catalogue stays in sync — The agent picks up any export changes within 15 minutes and uploads them to INV3NTORY silently in the background.

What stays in sync

  • Product catalogue syncs from Reposs export file automatically
  • Updates appear in INV3NTORY within 15 minutes of a new export
  • Agent starts at Windows boot — no manual restarts needed
  • Reposs column formats auto-detected — no mapping required

Common questions

How is the Reposs connection different from Square or Zettle?

Reposs is a local Windows application with no cloud API, so INV3NTORY uses a background agent that reads the CSV Reposs already exports — rather than a live webhook. The result is the same: a catalogue that stays current without manual work.

How often does my stock update?

The agent checks for file changes every 15 minutes, so updates appear in INV3NTORY within 15 minutes of Reposs writing a new export.

Does the agent affect Reposs?

No — it's read-only. It never touches the Reposs database or application, only the export file Reposs has already created.
